Naomi Osaka × KidSuper: a painted coat takes centre court
Law Roach and Colm Dillane give Osaka a US Open entrance with a painted KidSuper coat, an extended train and a basketball-style headband.

Naomi Osaka walked into her US Open fourth round in a KidSuper coat that looked ready for a runway. The painted panels were striking. The train made sure nobody missed them.
On 7 September 2026, Osaka’s entrance brought Colm Dillane’s artwork onto the tennis court. Styled with Law Roach, the look paired a sweeping KidSuper coat with a headband that picked up the feel of basketball dressing. Her Nike match kit sat underneath, ready for the change from arrival to play.
The coat is the piece that holds the image. Blocks of colour and painted figures cover its surface, framed by a generous collar and trim. As Osaka moves, different sections of the artwork come into view. The train follows behind her, carrying the picture well beyond the body.

From runway to court
A related coat appeared in KidSuper’s Fall/Winter 2026 runway collection. There, a cap, knitwear and matching painted trousers made it part of a complete look. Osaka’s version extended the drama with a longer train and put the coat in a setting where that much fabric becomes impossible to ignore.
The rear photograph shows how much the train changes the silhouette. Colour spreads across the court behind her, and the coat becomes almost a second presence in the entrance. From the side, the collar and painted panels keep the attention higher, framing her face and the headband.
The headband deserves a closer look too. Its basketball-style reference gives the outfit a sporting detail with a different history, adapted for a tennis player. It sits above an elaborate fashion piece and somehow makes the combination feel more at home in an arena.
An entrance with its own point of view
Osaka’s fourth-round match against Elena Rybakina ended in defeat. The arrival has a separate place in the tournament’s images: a player choosing how she wants to appear before the contest begins.
Roach and Dillane’s contribution is readable in the clothes. The styling gives the coat space to be the statement, while KidSuper’s painted imagery supplies the personality. The runway reference helps explain where the idea started; the court photographs show what Osaka’s version adds.
The custom entrance look has no confirmed retail release in the cited reporting. What it does have is a strong image: painted fabric, a long train and white tennis shoes, crossing a court that usually keeps the dress code much tighter.
