Devin Booker × Futura: the Book 2 gets tagged

Futura’s coloured atom graphics and handwritten BOOK lettering turn Devin Booker’s media-day pair into a small canvas.

Futura’s atom graphics have landed on Devin Booker’s Book 2. The Suns guard brought the custom pair to media day, and the close-ups do the talking.

Devin Booker’s signature shoes tend to give colour and texture room to work. This pair fills that space with Futura’s unmistakable line: coloured loops and atom-like forms moving across the upper, a dark Swoosh cutting through the artwork and BOOK written by hand on the tongue.

Booker wore the shoes at Phoenix Suns media day on 28 September 2026. Against his black uniform and white socks, the colour feels even louder. It is a clean introduction to a collaboration that connects one of basketball’s most closely watched sneaker wardrobes with a foundational name in graffiti.

The line carries the shoe

The graphics do more than fill empty panels. In the detail shot, curves cross the upper without behaving like a neat repeat print. Different colours overlap, and the dark Swoosh gives the eye a fixed point among them. The shoe keeps its familiar shape while the drawing gives it a different pace.

The handwritten tongue is the sharpest finishing touch. BOOK becomes part of the artwork, sitting above the laces like a quick inscription. From a distance, the pair reads as a splash of colour. Up close, the marks feel much more specific.

The on-foot photograph is useful for the same reason. White socks leave the upper exposed, while the low profile keeps the graphics close to the court. Nothing in the styling competes with the shoe. Booker lets the pair carry the look.

A first look, with release questions still open

The media-day appearance gives us a clear look at the design. It does not establish a retail release. No confirmed public launch date or price accompanied the first-look coverage, so this remains a custom pair to watch rather than a drop to queue for.

That leaves the artwork front and centre. Futura’s drawing is recognisable without a giant name across the side, and Booker’s own signature line gives it a fresh surface. The most interesting part of the meeting is right there in the close-up: two identities sharing one shoe.
